PlayStation trophy hunters wear their platinum trophies as badges of honor. There’s no better feeling than completing a great game and showing off your shiny new hardware to your friends.

10 Easy Platinum Trophies On PS Plus

Some things are more valuable than silver and gold.

As we all know, however, not every trophy list is created equally. The vast discrepancy in platinum trophy difficulty on PlayStation is well documented, with some cheap titles existing only to allow buyers to bump up their platinum total with only a few minutes of in-game effort.

Cat Quest 2, Tekken 6, Peppa Pig, Spirit of the North

The games on this list are not those aforementioned games. Some of these 2024 releases will take hundreds of hours to finally crack. Some have yet to be claimed by anyone on the planet.

So take a look, completionists. If you’ve managed to earn any of these platinum trophies in 2024, just know you’re in very rare company.

A remake originally released in 2023,System Shockfor the PS5, didn’t actually come out until 2024.

The spiritual predecessor to the belovedBioshockseries, 1994’s System Shock, was long inaccessible for modern gamers, so this current-gen remake of the iconic and challenging cyberpunk shooter was a big deal and resulted in one of thebest horror remakes ever.

F1 24, Verstappen, LeClerc, and Norris at Monaco

System Shock didn’t mess around with the difficulty of its trophy list, and only 0.3% of challengers have been able to get this game to 100%.

The toughest trophies here are “Off The Grid,” requiring players to destroy a combined 170 cameras and CPU nodes scattered throughout the game, and “Don’t Forget To Salt The Fries,” requiring players to beat the game four separate times in four separate gameplay styles at the highest difficulty. Sheesh.

Trophy stats of sports games can be hard to judge sometimes, as many fans of the genre aren’t keen on completing the game 100% and would rather find the gameplay modes they enjoy and stick mostly to those. Still, a 0.1% platinum rate forF124 is pretty insanely low.

Like a rookie driver finally getting his seat on the grid in real-life Formula 1 racing, a player chasing the platinum is this title is going to need to work extra hard.

10 Hardest Platinum Trophies

The most elusive trophy is “99 Club,” which requires players to get any driver’s rating all the way maxed out at 99. This one takes a lot of dedication, skill, and good, old-fashioned grinding to finally earn.

Thankfully, it’s one of the best sports games of the year and was nominated forBest Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards, so you’ll have a good time gunning for this trophy.

8Kill Knight

Isometric Insanity

Kill Knight

Earned By 2.73% Of Players

Kill Knight is a brutal (and awesome) isometric twin-stick-shooter where you’ll be tasked with defeating hoards of enemies that are constantly thrown your way in horror-themed arenas.

It’s a tough game on its own, so it’s no surprise that the game’s trophy list took things up a notch as well.

10 Hardest Platinum Trophies On PlayStation

All Platinum Trophies are generally challenging to obtain, but these are surely the hardest ones to ever obtain on PlayStation!

The trophy you’ll be hunting the longest is “The Kingdom Is Yours,” which requires beating every area of the game while earning a K-Rank, the highest rank possible to earn in the game.

Hope you like chasing high scores and blasting away monsters, because you’re going to be doing a lot of it.

7Phasmophobia

Ghost Hunting Ain’t Easy

Phasmophobia

Earned By 1.19% Of Players

Phasmophobiaoriginally launched on PC in 2020 but has just now made its way to PlayStation in 2024 (with PSVR2 support as well).

It’s an up-to-four-player co-op title that tasks you and your squad with investigating haunted houses as ghost hunters, armed and equipped with the latest in ghost-hunting technology.

The game is one of thebest horror titles in recent years. This is good news, because to earn this platinum, you’re going to have to play alotof it.

“III” is the last trophy you’ll earn in this game, which will pop once you’ve prestiged twice, essentially getting your character to level 201.

Combined with collecting all other needed trophies as well, this platinum will take you well over 100 hours of gameplay, dependent also on how many successful runs you can pull off in the game.

There aretips to prestige more quickly in this game, but you’re still in for a lot of hauntings.

6Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs

Like Trying To Eat An Entire Buffet

Earned By 0.9% Of Players

As possibly the best arcade game series of all time, Pac-Man has seen many different iterations in its existence.Pac-ManMega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs is not only a mouth full of a title, but also a full buffet of dots and ghosts to consume if you’d like to earn the platinum.

The worst culprits by far here are “I’m Feeling Dizzy,” requiring 100,000 warps, “What’s For Dessert?” requiring 1,000,000 dots eaten, and “A Gazillion Points!” requiring a lifetime total of 25,000,000 combined scores.

I think I’m going to throw up.

Multipliers On Multipliers

Earned By 1.62% Of Players

Critical darling, game of the year nominee, and2024’s best indie game, Balatro is up next. Most will already know that this fresh, new take on poker is one of the most addictive formulas of all time, making Balatro an instant classic for nearly everyone who tries it out.

Though the game is easy to pickup, don’t expect to cruise your way to its platinum trophy. This one is a slog, but a slog worth having at least.

To earn this platinum, you must win a round with all 15 decks of cards in the game set to their highest difficulty.

In addition to that already insane goal, you must also win on the highest difficulty with each joker in the game. There are 150 jokers. You can typically only hold up to 5 at once. This math seems… insane.

When it’s all said and done, expect this trophy to take you at least 200 hours, but likely closer to 300… or 400. Or when you’re in a nursing home.

4New World: Aeternum

Winning Wars Isn’t Easy

New World: Aeternum

Earned By 0.42% Of Players

A 2021 fantasy PC MMORPG that made its way to consoles in 2024, New World: Aeternum, is up next. Here, the trophy that will hold up players the most is “Gets Tiring, All This Winning,” which tasks you with winning 10 separate wars in the game.

Winning a war doesn’t come easily. Even being able to declare war in the New World has many requirements to meet in terms of faction population, earned in-game influence, and more.

Forget blockbuster AAA games! We want some plucky little indies!

On top of that, the actual war itself is a 50v50 PVP match, making your chances of eventual victory largely dependent on your teammates and the cunning of your opponents.

Winning one war by itself can be a crazy challenge. 10 wars is an entirely different beast to conquer.

3Metal Slug Tactics

Proper Tactics Can Only Get You So Far

Metal Slug Tactics

Earned By 0% Of Players

If you’re reading this at the time of publishing, you don’t have the platinum forMetal Slug Tactics. How do I know that? Becauseno onehas it yet.

A bullet-hell series turned grid-based tactical RPG, Metal Slug Tactics is a cool idea and a solid enough entry into the genre. Just don’t plan on playing this game to completion.

To this day, not a single player has earned the “War Machines” trophy, which asks you to defeat every region’s boss in the game at least once. Sounds easy, right? Wrong.

This one will take well over 100 hours of playtime as well against bosses that are no walk in the park.

2Infinity Nikki

Infinite Grinding

Infinity Nikki

Recently released as a free-to-play title, Infinity Nikki doesn’t look like a game that would boast one of the most difficult-to-earn platinum trophies of the year. The adorable art and heavy leanings into photography and fashion don’t exactly scream, “Trophy hunters, beware!”

However, there is one trophy on this list that will grind you into space dust. Once again, this is a trophy that no one in the world has managed to collect yet.

“Heart Full Of Wonders” is the trophy of nightmares, challenging you to collect 100 in-game collectibles called Iridescent Eurekas.

This sounds innocent enough, but gamers are reporting on forum threads that gettingoneof these items has taken them up to 30 hours. It’s an RNG grind that can be absolutely fruitless for dozens of hours, and you need to collect 100 of these things.

This Trophy List Is Flagrant

TheNBA 2Kseries is no stranger to controversy, predatory micro-transactions, and grinding in recent years. On top of everything, the trophy list they released with their most recent title, NBA 2K25, is the worst list in franchise history.

This is a series that sells millions of copies every single year. You’d think withmillionsof players, somebody out there would’ve snagged the platinum trophy by now. Nope.

There aremultipletrophies on this list with a 0% earned rate because they are such obnoxious grinds. The trio of “Big Timer,” “All Timer,” and “Timeless” are the offenders here.

Each of these requires you to unlock every “all-time” team in the game and win a game with every one of them. The numbers don’t lie; this one might not even be possible.
