Golden GlobesTV nominations arrived this morning, officially kicking off awards season in Hollywood. The nominations were announced direct from Los Angeles, California. And it appears to be a packed house, with no clearcut frontrunner.
Ahead of the pack for TV this year are HBO’s Chernobyl, which was pushed up beside Netflix’sThe Crown, with both series have garnered four nominations apiece.The Crownlanded in the Best Drama category. WhileChernobylis being recognized for Best Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for television.
Other Best Drama nominees include HBO’sSuccession, Apple TV+ getting its first recognition for The Morning Show, BBC America’sKilling Eveand HBO’sBig Little Lies. Over on the Comedy or Musical side of things, Amazon’sFleabagappears to be the frontrunner, with Amazon’sThe Marvelous Mrs. Maiselalso getting recognized. HBO’sBarrygot nominated again, with Netflix picking up the final two noms in this category withThe PoliticianandThe Kominsky Method.
Along withChernobylleading the pack for Miniseries or Original TV Movie, Netflix’s Unbelievable was also nominated four times. Also in this category areFosse/Verdonfor FX,The Loudest Voiceon Showtime and Hulu’s George Clooney ledCatch-22.
