Of the few major cities and settlements in Starfield, none provide the same atmosphere and aesthetic as Cydonia, an underground mining colony on the red planet. If you enjoy spending time here like I do, you’ll likely want to know about all side quests in Cydonia, right?
Every Side Quest in Cydonia
In total, there are 14 side quests in Cydonia, not including the various miscellaneous quests and mission board jobs you can tackle. These 14 quests were designed with unique characters, objectives, and locations, making them enticing side stories to explore.
Freight Fright
InFreight Fright, you will help Denis Averin deal with a seemingly abandoned ship along the outskirts of the city, and it is infested with problematic little buggers that you do not want growing up. It’s a quick quest, with a few jump scares to really spook you and a bit of gunplay for an eventful, quick reward.
Heart of Mars
InHeart of Mars, you will help Layla Pulaski track down the fabled ore out in the wasteland of the red planet. You can fast-travel to the location, but delving into the cave itself is up to you, and it’s a bit of a creepy one to explore.
Media Sponge
Who doesn’t love a good book? InMedia Sponge, you’ll help Mitch Benjamin track down his favorite novel series, the Dragonstar Force books, across the galaxy. He can’t get them easily in Cydonia, but other vendors across the Settled Systems sell the novels in spades.
To unlock Psyched, you will first need to complete Red Tape Reclamation in Cydonia. But once you do, speak with Gilly Seong in her cubicle. She’ll require your help in performing psych evals for various employees, which is a touch different than the norm.
Refurbished Goods
Upon finishing Freight Fright for Denis Averin, return and speak to him about his second side quest,Refurbished Goods. You’ll have to visit a unique location, which is procedurally generated, and track down a few items for Denis. It’s a fetch quest, plain and simple, so don’t get too excited.
Red Tape Blues
If you ever want to feel like the working class on Mars, thenRed Tape Blueswill kickstart an adventure that starts with mining and ends with corporate fraud. You’ll have to help Trevor secure additional mining equipment by applying for an assistant position with the company, but ensuring your success through a careful hack.
Red Tape Runaround
Red Tape Runaroundis the continuation of Trevor’s questline that starts in Red Tape Blues. This time, once you’ve secured the assistant position, you must work for Peter Brennan to ensure the mining operation receives the proper equipment.
Red Tape Reclamation
In the final quest for Trevor, the culmination of the Red Tape quest line,Red Tape Reclamation, will see you track down the missing mining equipment you’ve sought. An employee, Hank Ferraro, stole the equipment and intends to make a quick buck, but not if you have anything to say about it!
After completing Red Tape Reclamation, Trevor will explain that if you want to continue helping, one of his employees, Rivkah, is having trouble. InRunaway, she’s on the run from her father and cannot secure medical help for her condition without his knowing, so she needs you to bridge the gap.
Space Frog From Outer Space
If a child asks you for help, do you drop everything? InSpace Frog From Outer Space, little Renee Shelby wants your help in posting six drawings of Space Frog around Cydonia. It’s a simple quest that provides one of the best rewards in the game for those who enjoybuilding outposts!
Special Delivery
Hey, you don’t even have to draw your sidearm for this one! InSpecial Delivery, you’ll act as a postman delivering birthday presents across the Settled Systems. It’s a chance to spread joy and happiness by simply flying from point A to point B.
Start-Up Stopped
TheStart-Up Stoppedside quest in Cydonia is a chance to help a down-on-her-luck vendor, earn aunique weapon, unlock arecruitable companion, and track down a lost starship. You must track down the Berry Mule, deal with mercenaries, and save the day.
The Bounty That Got Away
As you enter Cydonia, you’ll spot an imposing figure off to one side. The Trackers Alliance Agent is tough but still needs a helping hand. InThe Bounty That Got Away, you’ll help her place a sensor to track down her lost bounty and get paid to parkour.
Top of the L.I.S.T.
InTop of the L.I.S.T., you’ll eavesdrop on unsuspecting recruits, persuade civilians to join the cause, and find a habitable planet to found a new settlement. Unfortunately, we can’t actually build the settlement, but it’s fun managing the process. You’ll unlock a unique vendor that purchases 100% Survey Data afterward, too.
