This tweak does away with the silly prompt shown above, allowing you to downloadappupdates of any size even when you’re connected to a cellular network instead ofWi-Fi. Can anyone say hallelujah?

Given just how much time I spend away from my home Wi-Fi connection, I can attest that this tweak is nothing short of a lifesaver. App updates by way ofFacebookand the mobileMicrosoftOffice suite are larger than 150MB, which iOS restricts over cellular networks, seemingly to help the carrier instead of you.

Once installed, you’ll find a preference pane in the Settings app for Appstore Unrestrict where you can toggle the tweak on or off on demand:

After you’ve turned the toggle switch on, Appstore Unrestrict will be enabled, allowing you to download app updates of any size without limitation (just remember to be mindful of your cellular data usage if you have a capped data plan).
