Cross-play is still a hot topic for gaming recently, with Fornite finally getting cross-play on Playstation 4, where does this leave upcoming games such asFallout 76?
Bethesda Confirms No Cross-play for Fallout 76
In a recent statement on Twitter, the Senior VP of Communications Pete Hines of Bethesda Softworks, he confirms the state of cross-play for action-RPGFallout 76:
Fallout 76 does not support crossplay, for a number of reasons. I have no idea if it ever will. But I assure you it is not on our radar right now as we focus on B.E.T.A. and Launch.

While previously it was mentioned thatcross-play was an aim for Bethesda ’s games, it is not a foreseeable goal for Fallout 76. With another title that has seen anuphill battle with cross progression,The Elder Scrolls: Legendsthe strategy card game, Hines shared that it was vital and would “counter what the game has been about”.
Folks, chill. I work with a lot of devs and games for whom this is important going forward.
