Bandai Namco has released new information and screenshots on From Software’sDark Souls 3:The Ringed City, the final expansion for the critically acclaimed game. Keep this page open and refresh as the day goes on to learn more. Obvious spoilers will be contained within. The big news is the confirmation of password matchmaking in thearenawhich can be seen in the following series of screens:
The password matchmaking in the arena allows for a variety of customizations. you may set a password to allow for matching with friendly team only and the enemy team is matched with another, or you can have everyone use the same password and finally you can select which team to be a part of. This should make coordination with friends a lot more user friendly.
The new arenas coming with the expansion are calledDragon Ruinsand Grand Roof. As you can see in the screenshots, it’s anArchdragon Peak-themed arena with crumbling ruins and elevations to lurk and ambush and the Grand Roof ofLothric Castle, where you find the 3 Golden Winged Knights is a more spacious and open area.
The new arenas will be available on the 24th forAshes of Ariandeland Season Pass owners or on release day if you are planning to pick up The Ringed City alone. As long as you can access the Undead Match, you can access every arena map.
