Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is the sequel to the 2011 title that mixed third-person shooting with hack ‘n slash combat. The game takes place at the start of the 4th Tyrannic War, as the Imperium faces some of their most fearsome foes: the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Leviathan and the forces of Chaos. After being jailed and tortured for a century by Inquisitor Thrax, Captain Demetrian Titus joins the Deathwatch as a Blackshield to defeat the Tyranids for good and to restore his honor.
The second chapter brings back the signature third-person shooter/hack n’ slash combat with solo and multiplayer options, letting players join up with friends to defend the galaxy. Space Marine II also revives the series’ PvP multiplayer mode as well as a whole new mode with Operations, which explores outside of the narrative, letting you create your own Space Marine and take part in smaller yet daunting missions.
