We have no shortage of allies available for us inEiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. There isn’t a large number immediately available for us, but there are enough recruits to competely change your party and who you use. These characters can be found within the Grum County area during the start of the game. Gigina is the only one at the start of the game that needs a short amount of story progress before being recruited.

Yusuke is a “grapple” damage melee unit much like Lian, but unlike her, he can’t increase his evasion. Instead, he can defend while charging up his power to increase his attack during his next turn. The charge up ability can also stack up to 2 times. Yusuke does have the same rune-lens ability as Lian to bypass armor to deal damage. Making the two easily interchangeable depending on what you prefer for your party.

Yusuke

He is found within Fort Xialuke in northern Grum County while being apprehended by some guards. Yusuke was mistaken for a bandit who had attacked the village and the guards are not listening to any of his pleading when you arrived. When you arrive, you can defend Yusuke and tell the guards that Yusuke is not the culprit raiding the village. Once you tell the guards to leave Yusuke in your care, they’ll be off, and now you can speak with Yusuke without their interference. Since you freed him from the guards, he’s now eager to join you. Welcome him to the ranks and Yusuke will then join your party.

Iugo is a wandering samurai on a mission. He’s a “slash” damage melee character that is ideal for the frontline of the party. He has the Taunting Counter ability to get enemy attention to execute a counterattack. Iugo does solid damage and can be vital in keeping allies from getting attacked when they are low on health. Iugo also gets the Slash rune-lens as he levels up, which will deal “slash” damage to an enemy. The more SP he has, the more damage the attack will do.

Iugo

Iugo can be found in the easter part of Eltisweiss. He will be in a bar at the end of a small path which can be seen on the map. Enter the bar and speak with Iugo to progress in recruiting him into the party. He’s going to be disinterested at first due to having his mission going on at the time. Nowa will offer to help with Iugo’s mission as long as Iugo joins Nowa. Amused by the offer and Nowa’s nature, Iugo will happily join your party.

Kuroto is a ranged character that deals “throw” damage. He is ideal for backline party damage. A hunter armed with a crossbow does reliable damage and can reach all enemies due to his range with his crossbow.

Kuroto

When you make your way to Altverden Village to the southwest in Grum County, you can run into Kuroto in the lower west section of the town. He’s a hunter looking to sell some pelts to travelers in town. You can tell Kuroto that you are looking for allies, and he’ll make it clear that you need to do more than just ask him to join you to get his help for your adventures. Kuroto will send you to Redthroat Ridge in the east to hunt 5 wild boars. Once you reach Redthroat Ridge you just have to run around the area until you encounter the boars, dispatch 5 of them, and you’ll be ready to make your way back to Altverden Village to speak with Kuroto. He will still be in the same spot as before in the lower west of the town. Kuroto will be impressed that you took down 5 boars and will want to talk a little more about the village and why he’s going to join you on your adventures. Once he tells you his reasons for joining, he will now be part of your party.

Gigina is a “grapple” damage melee character, similar to Lian and Yusuke, who is a frontline damage dealer. Gigina starts with a hero combo with Garr where they team up to deal heavy fire damage to one enemy.

Gigana

Gigina can be found in Arenside, the town you start the game in, on the other side of the Fort Xialuke gates after completing the Abandoned Mines dungeon for the main story. Once you arrive in Arenside, go to the left side of the small field at the bottom of the town. Gigina sticks out as they are wearing a pretty lion mask. Once you speak with Gigina, they are more than happy to join up with Nowa and his adventures.
