FromSoftwarehas promised thatElden Ring: Nightreignwill include difficulty adjustments when it launches forPS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PConMay 30. These changes will be based on data gathered during its recent network test.

“The team received a lot of helpful feedback regarding the difficulty,” explainedJunya Ishizaki, the game’s director, in an interview published on thePlayStation Blog.

“We’ve made some balance adjustments to make the game challenging as you progress, but still manageable.Gladius, one of the Night Lords, has also been updated, so I hope players look forward to facing him in the final game.”

While Ishizaki did not detail the specific changes to the Gladius fight, he also mentioned that during the network test, many players had trouble understanding the map, knowing what to do, or how to use certain character moves. As a result, the final version will include changes that present all this information in a muchclearer and more intuitiveway.

Clear Boss Weaknesses

Similarly, in the final version, players will be able toclearly see the weaknesses of each bossbefore fighting them.

This will allow players to seek outspecific gear and upgradesto prepare effectively. For example, if a boss is weak to poison, players can spend time finding weapons that inflict poison tomaximize their damageduring the encounter.
