Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeis packed full of mysteries that aren’t always apparent. One aspect are theIris of GraceandIris of Occultation, seemingly holy consumable relics that do more than grant the player the effects of aGreat Rune. As far as we can tell concerning theIris of Occultation, there are three that can be found throughout the shadow realm, with its counterpart,Iris of Grace, only having one.

Iris of Grace

TheIris of GraceandIris of Occultationaren’t particularly important consumables as their core function acts to activate the equipped great rune, with the latter unfortunately removing all the runes in favor of it. With that said, there’s one individual found in the Church district of theShadow Keepthat will interact with it differently.

Poor Queelignis curled up in a ball praying toQueen Marika. If you use theIris of Occultation, it will sap his will to live and he will leave his greatsword. If you use the Iris of Grace, there’s a different outcome.

If you do Count Ymir’s questline,Jolanwill be in her normal spot but slumped over, broken. You are able to use the Grace or Occultation on her, with the former granting you her summoning ashes.
