Glen PowellandSydney Sweeneyare looking to reunite for a future project. The duo, who starred inAnyone but You, have both recently spoken about working together again. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards this weekend, Powell talked toVarietyabout his desire to work alongside Sweeney again:

“When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing.”

Powell added that the two are reading through scripts to find the perfect project to turn into something audiences will enjoy.

“Please send us all the scripts you got. You know we’re here for it. It’s been really wonderful to read a lot. Sydney reads everything, by the way, and in record time. She’s the fastest reader I think I’ve ever met. It takes me a little longer, but we’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”

Anyone But You Is the Latest Shakespeare Adaptation, and Most Fans Had No Idea

Anyone but You is a modern spin on a Shakespeare play and has now become the highest-grossing live-action adaptation of his work.

Glen Powell & Sydney Sweeney: From Anyone but You to Chasing Twisters and Joining a Convent

Anyone but You, loosely based on William Shakespeare’sMuch Ado About Anything, stars Sweeney and Powell as Bea and Ben, respectively. Despite an initial attraction, a less-than-stellar end to their first date quickly halts the possibility of a relationship. Months later, Ben and Bea’s siblings begin to date, ultimately leading to a destination wedding in Australia, where the two pretend to be in a relationship.

WhileAnyone But You, which was released on December 22, failed to impress critics and grossed just $6.3 million during the opening weekend, things took a turn for the better in the new year. The romantic comedy has now grossed over $200 million worldwide (making it the highest-grossing rom-com since 2018’sCrazy Rich Asians), and general audiences have responded quite positively to the Will Gluck-directed feature.

Powell will next appear inTwisters,a sequel to 1996’sTwister, which hits theaters July 19. During his talk with Variety on the Carpet, Powell noted he had “great chemistry” with co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones for the film, which he says is “going to be spectacular.“Twistersis directed by Lee Isaac Chung from a screenplay by Mark L. Smith, and stars Anthony Ramos, Maura Tierney, Brandon Perea, Daryl McCormack, Sasha Lane, Kiernan Shipka, and Nik Dodani, alongside Edgar-Jones and Powell.
