How to Craft Cars in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite has three cars that you’re able to craft: theSpeeder, theOffroader, and theHauler. These aren’t the only vehicles that you can make in LEGO Fortnite, but these arepremade carsthat can be found in thebuilds menu just like houses and other prefabs.

Lego Fortnite Power Cell Engine

How to Get a Power Cell in LEGO Fortnite

Power Cells are required for all vehicles in LEGO Fortnite, however, since they act as thepower sourcefor their engines. You’ll need to build the newCompost Binstation to get your hands on these. TheCompost Binis crafted at the Lumber Mill. Once you build it, you can turn resources intoBiomass,Fertilizer, andSoil. Creating Biomass will unlock the Power Cell recipe!

How to Make a Custom Vehicle in LEGO Fortnite

Once you have a Power Cell, you’re all set to start building your dream ride. If you want to create your own custom vehicle instead of the prebuilt cars that LEGO Fortnite has to offer, just open the build menu and find the newVehicle Partssection of theToysmenu.

All vehicles need three things: aPower Center,Wheels, and aSeat. The Power Center is where you place Power Cells, and the Wheels and Seat are self-explanatory. You can use any Vehicle Base parts to design the body of your car, though, so the design is ultimately up to you! Use the newVehicle Jacksto make building your car easier, too.

Lego Fortnite Vehicle Wheels

There’s one important thing to note about Wheels, though. There are two types of them! Make sure your vehicle has a set ofTurnable Wheelsin addition toPowered Wheelsso you can actually steer your vehicle. Powered Wheels only propel your vehicle forward, and while they’re necessary for speed, you won’t be able to direct yourself without Turnable Wheels. Also, make sure all of your Wheels are spinning in the correct direction before taking off.

There are a ton of optional parts likeguards, bumpers, headlights, andIlluminatorsthat you may tack onto your LEGO Fortnite vehicles, so get creative and build the ride of your dreams! Once you’ve got enough Power Cells to power your vehicle, you can build the newWrenchtool to further customize your ride. This allows you to assign channels to Switches and Thrusters that you can swap between while driving a vehicle, giving you more control over which Thrusters are active.
