One of the last remaining dungeons you may find inClair Obscur: Expedition 33, the Isle of Eyes will taunt you after visiting Old Lumiere because it’s on elevated ground, meaning that you need to unlockEsquie’s ability to Fly. Oddly enough, there’s not a lot in the dungeon itself, but it does live up to its name. This guide will help you understand what to do and fight the boss at the end.
Where to Take the Family Portrait in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Collecting this painting opens up a new door in the Manor, along with an fashionable new outfit.
Eye See You
As the name suggests, this island is all about the eyes, something you may have noticed in the first Axion’s layer, being able to pop the various eyes watching you. The same concept applies to the Isle of Eyes, as there are various eyes in deceased monsters that will track you, and your goal is to pop them.
Head inside the dungeon and progress until you reach a rather large rock you’re able to climb. There is a small staircase moving upward. Head up to find a deceased monster with an eyeball eerily watching you from its back. These creatures are perfect for this island, as facing them in combat would require you to shoot their all watching eyes.

From the previous eye, head directly below you. There will be a small open cave that goes in all directions. Once here, look up at the ceiling of the cave to find the second eyeball ready to be poked out.
The final eyeball isn’t too far from the previous one. Once you’ve killed the eye in the cave, progress outside and take a left. There will be aPetankyou can chase, but beside him will be a broken-down creature with the eyeball on its back. Shoot it with your aim ability and this will unlock the final area to combat the boss.

Chromatic Boucheclier Boss
The boss of the area, the Boucheclier sports three heads (not including its shield) and isweak to fire attackswhile resistant to ice. His main attack consists of a seven-hit sword attack that’s normal speed, the first six hits, and the final overhead attack being much slower. Be cautious with the last one as it’s definitely the attack that will interrupt your counterattack.
The Boucheclier will also be able tocreate a shieldevery time he successfully lands a blow on your party, so it becomes very important to learn his timings to avoid wasting AP on shields (unless you have Maelle and one specific ability that benefits from enemy shields).

The best thing you can do is apply burn to the Chromatic Boucheclier, considering it’s weak to fire. It’s good to bring characters such as Maelle and Lune into the fight, considering their skillsets revolve around fire and buffing off fire damage. Maelle, in general, is very powerful in this fight, but overall it shouldn’t give you too much trouble even without her.
