The attic inDate Everythinghosts a menagerie of interesting characters, such as a dominatrix safe and a wacky collection of board games that are fascinating to talk to. The one problem is that it’s locked, and Dorian won’t let you in. You’ll need to find a special key (who is also a character) to get into the attic.

Where to Find the Attic Key

To find the attic key in Date Everything, head over to your office and open the back door on the left corner. It’s next to the whiteboard. You’ll find a white rug next to the water heater. She’s called Winnifred and can lead to some interesting stories herself. Back to the matter at head, unfurl the rug on the floor by interacting with it (the cross button on the PS5’s Dualsense, for example). Once the trap door is revealed, open it. You may want to interact with Dorian in this state; it’s…interesting. Anyway, go down the ladder into this secret room. You’re now in theCrawlspace.

Review: Date Everything!

Date Everything feels like too much of a good thing, as the game prioritises quantity over quality.

On the right-hand side, near the time capsule on the floor, you’ll see a silver key hidden. Interact with your Dateviators. You’ll meet Keith, who is happy to escape this prison. You’ll find out why he was thrown into the Crawlspace. The most important part is that Keith is a Skeleton Key who can open almost any keyhole in the house. After the interaction, a cutscene plays showing the key entering your pocket.

Enter The Attic

Now, with the key in hand, head up to the second floor and interact with Dorian again, the locked door. You’ll find out Keith and Dorian have history. After that, the door is now open! You can now talk to the likes of Sophia the Safe, Prissy Plastique, the fake plant, and Artt, the sculpture represented by a frame on the back wall. You’re in for a lot of fun.

Here’s a tip: verify you call Sophia mistress whenever she likes it. You’ll want to be at least friends with her, so she opens up and reveals another character.

How to Fix Relationships in Date Everything

Keith doesn’t just open doors inDate Everything; he can fix relationships as well. If you continue talking to the skeleton key, he will give you candy. This candy can be used in conversations to defuse the tension. It can change a hateful relationship into a friendship, or it may be used as a reset. This lets you be able to realize them later. You only get one candy per S.P.E.C. point variety, however.

Dates You May Miss

Somedateable charactersare hard to miss. One of the most difficult isDoug. He is the existential dread in the house that has a ripped body and a weird rounded head. He has no ears or mouth. The narrator calls him a “bleached bowling ball.” To find him, go to the dinner table where Scandalabra is and gaze at the wall underneath the staircase with the dateviators on. After a minute or so, Doug should pop up.
