Sifu’s story is one as old as time. You must avenge your father at all costs, with every weapon at your disposal. Here’s how to permanently unlock skills in Sifu.
How to Permanently Unlock Skills in Sifu
Born to a martial arts master, it seems almost inevitable that you’d see him killed. And thus starts your lifelong story of vengeance. But to truly pummel your father’s killer into the ground, you’ll need skills. Lots of them. But if you’re not careful, a death will mean you lose it… unless you unlock it permanently.
To permanently unlock skills in Sifu, you’ll need toapproach the skill treein your headquarters. In the skill tree menu, you’ll find that there are eight possible skill combos you’re able to unlock. You can purchase these skills with the experience you get by completing levels and destroying your enemies.

When you first look at a skill, you’ll notice that there are two options: unlock and permanently unlock. Unlocking a skill is cheaper than permanently unlocking a skill, but if you die,you lose that skilland have to re-earn the experience to purchase it again.
But if you opt topermanently unlockthe skill, you’ll retain it even after you die and come back. But here’s the catch. It’s not enough to permanently unlock that skill once. You mustpurchase the permanent unlock six times. That’s what the x5 text means beside the skill.

Don’t worry if you die before that happens. If you do, you’ll just need to purchase the permanent skill again, and you’ll find that yourprogress is retained. So, you can keep on grinding or progressing through the game like normal, without feeling like you’ve wasted any of your time.
