Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2has finally arrived and you can now jump into every map and game mode the title has to offer. A week before launch, fans who pre-ordered the game were granted early access to the campaign. This allowed you to play through every mission on your chosen difficulty and familiarize yourself with the narrative. While playing the campaign, you can stillunlock rewardssuch as XP tokens, calling cards, and even a weapon blueprint. However, if you’ve already got theModern Warfare 2campaign done and dusted, you may want to uninstall it from your PC.
Having the option to uninstall content is useful, especially if you need to free up some room on your PC due to the game taking a big chunk out of your storage. WithWarzone 2releasing on November 16, you’ll want to make sure you can download it at launch without having to worry about clearing up enough space.

How to uninstall theModern Warfare 2campaign and other content
To uninstall the campaign, locateModern Warfare 2on your PC and right click on the icon. Then, select the Properties option and it will bring up a menu containing all theModern Warfare 2install content. This includes the base game, multiplayer, co-op, campaign, andWarzone 2, which is highlighted as ‘coming soon.’ You can use the tick boxes to untick the content you want to uninstall from your PC. Any content you uninstall can be re-downloaded at any time by following the same process.
It’s important to note that at the time of writing, you’re unable to uninstall theModern Warfare 2campaign if you are playing on Battle.net. The campaign is labelled as required content, so there’s no option to uninstall it. It’s unknown if this is down to a bug, so we will have to wait and see if Infinity Ward addresses this in a future update.
TheModern Warfare 2campaign doesn’t quite take up the bulk of the full download. However, it does come separately in two downloadable packs that add up nearly 17 GB. That’s still a decent chunk, and may be a bridge too far for some who struggle with storage space. Getting it freed up after completion can be a blessing.
