Ah, the fresh start of the brand new Street Fighter game, the only time when characters don’t have 10+ different costumes. Although there is no doubt that this sequel will develop like the others before it with numerous DLCs and updates, the current situation with additional costumes is very poor. All characters start with only one default costume, with just one additional look that you may unlock. How, you ask? Let’s find out.

How to Unlock Additional Costumes in SF6?

To get the “Outfit 2”, the only additional costume right now for any of the base game starting characters, from the main menu:

Here you can choose the “Outfit 2” for the character you want to unlock it for, each one is50 Fighter Coins. Welcome to the Microtransaction City as those coins can only be bought for real money over on the PS Store or wherever you play Street Fighter 6. For now, real cash seems like the only option to acquire those coins – but if you just want the additional costumes there is another way, but it includes a lot of grinding.

How to Unlock Additional Costumes in the World Tour Mode?

In the free-roaming RPG-like World Tour mode, you will need to grind the Bond Levels with your Masters ie. the main fighters from the game. Once you reach a 100 Bond Level with a character you will get their Outfit 2 free of charge – it will pop up in the Rewards menu in the Multi Menu. Raising Bond Level to such a high level won’t be quick or easy because you will need to shower your Masters with tons of gifts and complete a LOT of Missions for them.

The cool thing about the Outift 2 option for the returning old-schoolStreet Fighter IIcharacters is that it represents their classic 80s look! So happy grinding – or get that credit card, the choice is yours!
