How to Unlock and Equip Facewear in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail
To unlock Facewear in Final Fantasy XIV, you first need to purchase it from the NPCs or the Market Board in the town. Here are some places from where you can buy the Facewear:
Once you have the Facewear you want, you can equip it using theCharacter Equipment Windowby clicking theFacewear icon. It will display a box on the right where you canselect the style and one of the 12 colors.

How to Convert Your Old Spectacles to Facewear in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail
If you already owned Spectacles before the release of the Dawntrail expansion but cannot equip them now, it is because the Spectacles are now their own thing after Patch 7.0. These are now called Facewear, and you will find them in shops such as‘The Faces We Wear,’followed by the item name.
To be able to equip them, you will first need to convert them to Facewear. To do that, visit anyCalamity Salvagerand choose“Spectacles Exchange”from the list to convert all your Spectacles to the new Facewear. Doing this will not cost you anything, so make sure you perform this step to be able to use your old Spectacles after the latest patch.
