How to Upgrade Gourds and Drinks in Black Myth Wukong

To upgrade your Gourd in Black Myth: Wukong, you must speak toShen Monkey in the Bamboo Grove. Shen Monkey can be found shortly after defeating Guangmou and reachingthe Marsh of the White Mist Keeper’s Shrine.

Shortly after the Marsh of the White Mist shrine, you’ll encounter an enemy on a wooden bridge. Defeat the enemy to save Shen Monkey, who will invite you inside his cave.

Speaking to Shen Monkey will open up a menu where you’re able to upgrade your Gourds, Drinks, and even Brew mixtures for added effects. However, you’ll need special materials in order to take advantage of the available upgrades.

The Brew menu allows you to add Soaks to your Gourd, enhancing your healing effects with additional properties. Upon saving Shen Monkey, you’ll be rewarded with a Gall Gem, which is a soak that can be added to your Gourd to moderately increase Poison resistance for a short duration in addition to the normal healing properties it provides.

Shen Monkey will also sell you various items, including additional Soaks to add to your Gourd.
