Machine Games manage to deliver an engaging and entertaining adventure game (and retrieve their fedora on the way out).
This door is a part of the Jungle Bruiser Pit discovery quest, which will reward the player with two new adventure books and a healthy amount of cash upon completion.
Find the Jungle Bruiser Pit
From theWat Chana SongkhramFast Travel location, pilot the boatsoutheastdown the river towards the other dock (see location on map above). Walk up to the door to initiate theJungle Bruiser Pitmission, where Indy will be rejected from entering.
Find the Royal Army Guard Disguise
You’ll need to find aRoyal Army disguisein order to enter the boxing ring. The disguise can be found atVoss’ Campat the very north end of the map. The disguise is sitting on a tablenext to the showerson the west side of the camp, next to the stairs to the lower area.
This area is full of enemies, most of which are armed with guns, so you’ll want to go with a stealth approach. We ended up getting caught right when we picked up the disguise, and made a quick escape with the guards on our tail (it still worked, though).
Enter the Jungle Bruiser Pit Tournament
Open your satchel and equip the disguise, then return to the locked door with the bouncer. Interacting with it with the disguise on will trigger a cutscene, and you’ll end up inside the secret room.
There’s a boxing ring in the center of the room with a fighter inside, as well as a table to the left with a fewAdventure Booksfor sale. Talk to the promoter in the corner, thenenter the ring to begin the first fight.
There are a total of three rounds, with each one raising thedifficultyas well as theprize money. We recommend restocking on health, bonus health, and bonus stamina between each round, and going for parries as much as possible. Starting with a charge attack will almost always end with the enemy dodging it, so instead just go for a normal swing or parry their first attack.
