Iron Man is a fascinating character inMarvel Rivalsdue to how his kit works and how he plays. There are very few characters in the game with the ability to fly, let alone the ability to do so for the entire match. Iron Man’s strength is that he can fly around the map, dropping explosive blasts on his enemies, and obliterating anyone not seeking cover with his ultimate attack. His weakness is his slow-moving speed, even when flying away or into battle. He requires careful positioning while in fights and the sense of when to push forward or pull back.

How to Utilize Iron Man’s Abilities

Use Armor Overdrive often to take down the enemy team.

Sometimes it is hard to figure out when you want to use abilities in games like Marvel Rivals. Often you’ll want to hold onto Iron Man’s ultimate ability and the like to verify it makes a huge difference. But holding onto some of these abilities will also hinder your game in other ways. Use Armor Overdrive often in team engagements. If you see enemies grouped up, use the Invincible Pulse Cannon ultimate. Most team engagements will have people in a group due to the nature of the game. This makes Iron Man’s kit perfect to break up any enemies before a fight snowballs in the direction they want.

Iron Man Tips and Tricks

Just because you are in the sky doesn’t mean you shouldn’t stick with your team.

When playing as Iron Man, you are going to want to push with your team and do your best to be a thorn in your enemy’s side. On his own, Iron Man isn’t capable of a ton. He is a character that relies on the team to make pushes while he tosses out damage to force them around corners and into rooms. He’s still strong, but he’s more about forcing groups to disperse.

Iron Man’s constant area of effect damage will push foes away from each other rather than risk grouping up. This will give you several situations, like if a healer gets locked away in another path where you’ve forced them, and now they need to find a longer way around while your team pushes forward. This character is fantastic at separating groups and the lower health the enemy is, the more willing they are to go somewhere they shouldn’t.

Marvel Rivals Iron Fist

Iron Man is one of the most straightforward characters to play in Marvel Rivals. He’s never a bad choice to pick when you’re looking for a reliable character to deal damage. Despite his slower projectile speeds, he’s a solid mid-range character who can provide overhead support to your team. The downside is that he’s going to be harder to heal due to always being above the team rather than in big engagements with them. When playing him, you’ll want to be careful of getting enemy attention while always looking to punish enemies that are grouped up.
