There are so manymobile phone providersin the US that I’m starting to lose track. Earlier this week,Trump Mobilesomehow became a reality, and now Klarna, the company known for its buy-now-pay-later service andpayment plan burritos, is launching its own.

Klarnahas announcedits entry into the mobile market with a new phone service in the US that it plans to launch “in the coming weeks.” Klarna’s plan will offer unlimited 5G data, talk, text, and nationwide coverage that operates on AT&T’s network infrastructure.

Klarna’s 5G phone plan will be available for $40 a month, which is less expensive than Trump Mobile’s recently announced $47 5G plan. Klarna’s mobile phone service is yet another MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator), meaning it doesn’t have its own network infrastructure and instead relies on others, in this case, AT&T.

“Consumers already know and love Klarna’s super smooth services and now, with one tap in the Klarna app, they’ll be up and running with their new phone plan – no hassle, no hidden fees, just great value,” said Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Klarna’s CEO and co-founder, in apress release.
