Netflix’sOne PieceSeason 2 has officially wrapped filming, and fans of the acclaimed series can get their first look at the highly-anticipated return of the Straw Hat Pirates. Based on the beloved manga by Eiichiro Oda,One Piecehas been one of the most popular franchises in the world for over two decades. Rising to popularity thanks tothe record-breaking anime, Netflix was the first to adapt the long-running story into live-action in 2023. After a critically acclaimed first season,One Pieceis set to return bigger and better than ever, adapting some of the most iconic story arcs from the manga.

Netflixannounced on social media that production onOne PieceSeason 2 has officially concluded. Along with the news, a brand-new image was revealed from the filming that took place in Cape Town, South Africa. Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the rest of his crew sport new looks and visit an iconic location from the source material diehard fans will instantly recognize. From left to right,Sanji (Taz Skylar), Zoro (Mackenyu), Luffy, Nami (Emily Rudd), and Usopp (Jacob Romero Gibson) can be seen in Loguetown, the location they visit right before heading to the Grand Line. Interestingly, not pictured are other characters expected to show up during this arc, including Captain Buggy (Jeff Ward) and Smoke (Callum Kerr).

One PieceSeason 2 will not only adapt several iconic storylines from the manga, but it will also introduce some beloved characters and potential new additions to the Straw Hat Pirates.Charithra Chandrawill make her debut as Vivi aka Miss Wednesday, a mysterious member ofthe crime syndicate Baroque Workswho crosses paths with the main pirate crew. Meanwhile, long-awaited villains from the franchise will appear, including Joe Manganiello as Crocodile aka Mr. 0, and Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday. It’s unclear when fans will get their first look at the aforementioned characters, but hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later.

When Will ‘One Piece’ Season 2 Arrive on Netflix?

An official release date has not been announced forOne PieceSeason 2, but Netflix has seemingly confirmed that it won’t be arriving until 2026 asit was left out during their 2025 slate announcement. However, there is still a possibility it will arrive within the final months of this year. It’s been rumored that a Christmas holiday release window could be in the cards, which would make sense as the bulk of the upcoming season takes place on a winter island and introduces the human-like reindeer,Tony Tony Chopper.
