Sabo was seen to take on Fujitora, an admiral, without any difficulty. On the other hand, Ace did not damage Akainu during the Paramount War inOne Piece. Combining Sabo’s newfound powers with his advanced Armament Haki, the decision becomes more explicit. Blackbeard defeated Ace while Sabo infiltrated Mariejois and fought several strong characters.
Moreover, Sabo has time to get accustomed to the Mera Mera no Mi and awaken it to become more potent. Combining his future Devil Fruit potential with his Haki knowledge makes him one of the strongest characters in the anime. There has never been any confirmation fromOne Pieceor Eiichiro Oda regarding who is stronger. So, it is just a speculation.
