The open-world survival RPG Outward is coming to consoles and PC as a Definitive Edition.

Outward: Definitive Edition is heading to consoles and PC coming soon according to Nine Dots Studio and publisher Koch Media. This edition contains the base game and two DLCs “The Three Brothers” and “The Soroboreans”, plus new content, improved quality of life updates, and balancing adjustments. It also marks the end of Outward, being the last update in terms of content.
In case you missed it Outward released in 2019 developed by Nine Dots Studio, featuring anopen-worldwhereas a traveller you face terrible perils. Death is not the end, but can leave you in a tougher spot than when you begin. It also features split-screen co-op, survival mechanics, combat and spellcasting. What’s in the Outward: Definitive Edition?
The Outward: Definitive Edition not only comes with the base game and two DLCs but also new content:
The Sorobroeans DLC
The Soroboreans DLC introduced a new Corruption system, which means players need pay extra attention when it comes death, dehydration as well as losing backpacks. It also introduces a network of merchants that possess magical enchantments and trinkets.
The Three Brothers DLC
The Three Brothers DLC adds new quests, mechanics, weapons and much more. In this addition, players will venture through Caldera, where a city building mechanic comes into play. The DLC also adds the Primal Ritualist Skill Tree, grenades, elemental arrows and awakened weapons.
New Content, QoL, Balancing Adjustments
New content for the game includes some new encounters in dungeons, new scenarios, and new diseases. QoL features include life improvements such as being able to access your stash even when adventuring in a friend’s world, totem workshops being available in every region as well as more accessible crafting. It also looks like some of the mechanics from the DLCs are now more cohesively deployed throughout different regions according to the latest definitive edition trailer.
Free Definitive Edition Upgrade
Good news for those who already own the base game and both downloadable content, they will receive a Definitive Edition upgrade for free.
