As for what we could be getting an update for, we are still waiting to hear Fantasy 16, which last we heard from Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida, the next major update on the game was expected in spring 2022. The title had faced development delays due to the pandemic, but we could get a glimpse at State of Play if we’re lucky.

Another Square Enix titleForspokenbeing developed under Luminous, recently gotdelayed to October 11th, is another title coming to Playstation 5 as well as PC. The fantasy set open world Action-RPG could get some gameplay shown or an updated trailer. More dragons? Yes, please.

Another first-party title isGod of War Ragnarok, the sequel to the God of War 2018 title. The game is currently slated for a 2022 release but no date announced. If it hasn’t gotten delayed, it will probably release towards the end of the year. As this State of Play has a focus on Japanese publishers it might be a slim chance to see our favourite Dad and BOY! duo. But since the mention of “other developers located around the world” there’s still hope. We’ll have to tune in to see what announcements and updates will be happening this Wednesday.

Speaking of Japan, Sony Interactive Entertainment has also released a Playstation RUN! RUN! Lineup! video trailer. This video features a number of already released major titles includingElden Ring,Horizon Forbidden West,Babylon’s Fall, and more. But it also includes upcoming releases such asForspoken,Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Originand Ghostwire: Tokyo.
