Pokemon GO Catch Mastery: Ice Event Date and Time
The Pokemon GO Catch Mastery: Ice event will only last for ten hours onSaturday, December 9. The event starts at 10:00 AM local time and ends at 8:00 PM local time.
Catch Mastery: Ice Wild Pokemon Encounters
During the Catch Mastery: Ice event, the following Pokemon will be more commonly found as wild encounters:
This is a great opportunity to stock up on Snorunt Candy and catch both male and female Snorunt.Snorunt can always evolve into Glalie, but it can only evolve into Froslass if it’s female. The following table lists the full requirements for Snorunt’s two evolutions:
Bergmite evolves into Avalugg through the use of 50 Bergmite Candy.
Catch Mastery: Ice Field Research Tasks and Pokemon Encounters
By completing Field Research tasks pertaining to Poke Ball throw accuracy, such as Nice and Great Throws, players will be able to encounter the following Pokemon:
Cryogonal cannot evolve.
Catch Mastery: Ice Event Timed Research
During the event, there will be ten sets of timed research tasks centered on catching Ice-type Pokemon.Players will be able to encounter up to 40 Cyogonal in total by completing the timed research tasks. The Cryogonal encountered this way have a higher chance of being shiny.
Catch Mastery: Ice Paid Timed Research
There will also be paid timed research available for purchase during the Catch Mastery: Ice event.The paid timed research is exactly the same as the free timed research, rewarding players with up to 40 Cryogonal for completing the research tasks. Players who buy the paid timed research for US$2, or the equivalent cost in their local currency, can essentially complete the timed research twice, and as such can encounter up to 80 Cyogonal with an increased shiny chance.
