Starfieldis a game that is full of endless possibilities for players. Whether you want to be a good guy and join the UC as a security guard, or you want to join the Crimson Fleet and become an outlaw in the universe, you’re able to do a lot. You can makeyour characterwhoever you want them to be.
RELATED:Starfield: Status Effects ExplainedOne thing that you can do is become a reporter of sorts. On New Atlantis, you will find SSNN or the Settled Systems News Network. The SSNN is looking for someone to help them find stories across the universe, and you seem like the perfect fit.

How To Start A Light In The Darkness Mission
to start this quest, you’re able to meet an intern, Tommy Bitlow, for the SSNN in New Atlantis directly in front of where you dockedyour ship.If you don’t see him, you can head on over to their building in the Commercial District of the city. There, you will meet a reporter, Nada Muffaz, who needs to do a story on those living in The Well (the poorer district in the city), but her boss won’t let her.If you agree to do the interviews for her, you will be given this quest.
How To Complete The Interviews
First, you will need to head to The Well. This can be found in the rail station under the MAST building. You’ll find an elevator that will take you down. Once there, you will need to interview three people.You’ll need to stop by Kay’s House, a diner in The Well. Then you can head over to the electronic store just a few shops down. There, you can interview its owner. Finally, you will want to head to the medical clinic near the electronic store.Once you have spoken to everyone, you can head back to Nada Muffaz.
You don’t need to remember anything that any of these characters say. As long as you speak to them, your character will just relay the information to Nada without your input.

Find News Stories For SSNN
Once you tell Nada you have finished the interview, she will ask you to help her with more stories. You will need to experience events in the universe and bring back firsthand knowledge of them.Make sure if you get the prompt to report something to Nada that yousave. You don’t want to miss the opportunity. The following events are currently the only known events that you can tell Nada about. After completing these events, you can complete the quest.
The Vectera Mining Attack
The event that happens at the very beginning of the gameis that your mine gets attacked by the Crimson Fleet. you may give Nada information about this so she can report on it.
The Galbank Robbery In Akila City
While helping Sam Cole in the main quest “The Empty Nest,” you will travel to the city of Akila.There, you will find that the local Galbank is being robbed. Once you settle the matter, you may tell Nada about it.
The Scow And Captain Petrov
During the main quest “No Sudden Moves,” you will be asked to obtain an Artifact from Captain Petrov, the captain of a ship called The Scow.Once you have done this, you will be forced to attack The Scow. You can tell Nada what you know.
Sysdef’s Attack On The Key
During the Crimson Fleet quest “Kryx’s Legacy,” you will be asked to help either Sysdef or the Crimson Fleet.Afterward, you can report the story to Nada and let her know the outcome of the battle.
The Terrormorph Attack On New Atlantis
During the UC Vanguard quest line, you will be sent to investigate the different Terrormorph attacks that are happening around the universe. During one quest, these creatures will attack New Atlantis. You can tell Nada about the attacks.
Report On Ron Hope’s Death
The Freestar Ranger’s quest line culminates in the option to kill or spare Ron Hope.If you kill him, you can report this to Nada in New Atlantis.
