The ninth and final season ofThe Flashwill feature the return ofStephen AmellasGreen Arrow;it has been confirmed. Amell began The CW shared universe way back in 2012 with the first season ofGreen Arrow, which introduced the actor as billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who is transformed into the DC superhero Green Arrow after being shipwrecked, gaining a penchant for archery, and returning to Star City to fight crime and corruption.
Running for eight seasons,Green Arrowbecame a staple of The CW universe (aka The Arrowverse) with the friendship growing between Amell’s Oliver Queen and Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen, aka The Flash, as both shows and their crossovers went on. A friendship that fans of both shows will be hugely excited to see once again on-screen during the final season ofThe Flash.

The Flash Season 9 Will Premiere Next Month
The FlashSeason 9 picks up with the hero after defeating the Reverse Flash once and for all, and begins one week later following their epic battle. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) are reconnecting and growing closer than ever before. But when a deadly group of Rogues descend on Central City led by a powerful new threat, The Flash and his team — Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Meta-Empath Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), the light-powered meta Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton), brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight) and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine (Jon Cor) — must once again defy impossible odds to save the day.
But as The Rogues are defeated, a deadly new adversary rises to challenge Barry Allen’s heroic legacy. In their greatest battle yet, Barry and Team Flash will be pushed to their limits to save Central City one last time.
