Plenty of celebrity couples sever their romantic ties, few manage to stay on amicable terms, but even fewer end up maintaining professional relations post their split. And Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s equation falls in the last category. While the ex-couple got divorced almost 15 years ago, the two have joined forces in the film industry on more than one occasion. In fact, the renowned businesswoman has been Johnson’s manager for years now.
Both Johnson and Garcia had come to a mutual decision to end their marriage and there had never been any animosity between them. The same also played a major role in the ex-couple’s personal lives and their ability to move on with new partners. Following their break-up, theBlack Adamstar sparked up romance with Lauren Hashian who he is presently married to and has two kids with. Garcia on the other hand, harbored love in an old business acquaintance who, as it happens, is her ex-husband’s personal trainer and good friend, Dave Rienzi. Yikes, that ought to hurt.

Dany Garcia Married Dwayne Johnson’s Personal Trainer After Their Divorce
While Dany Garcia and her ex-husband had already separated in 2007, they officially got divorced a year later in May 2008. Soon after their split, theRed Noticeactor started dating Hashian who he would later tie the knot with in 2019. Garcia, 54, too had moved on by then, but in perhaps an ironic twist of events, her significant other happened to be The Rock’s fitness coach and trainer for almost a decade.
The film producer married Dave Rienzi back in 2014 and the couple have been together ever since. Coincidentally enough, Rienzi isn’t onlyDwayne Johnson‘s personal trainer but he’s known for being the strength coach of DC’s former Superman,Henry Cavillas well.

Despite that, Johnson and Garcia’s professional relationship has always remained intact with no strains whatsoever. In fact, it was a very conscious decision of theirs to continue to unite on work-related matters instead of burying their business ties along with their marriage.

Although ending ten years of marriage is no easy feat, it was never an“ugly divorce”for either The Rock or Garcia, as the former had remarked in an old interview onOprah Winfrey’s Vision 2020 Tour.

In a different interview with Piers Morgan, Johnson had explained the same as he delved into the tidbits of their split and its aftermath.“We realized that we weren’t meeting the expectation of [our] marriage,”he said.“And I was very fortunate that I had [Dany] who had the wherewithal to say, ‘OK, we’re gonna go through this and it’s terrible, but somewhere on the other side of this, we’re going to become better.'”
Even Garcia held the same perspective has theSan Andreasstar did and that is exactly how the two have been able to maintain such amicable terms for this long now – through genuine understanding and honest communication.
