Resident Evil 4 is one of the greatest games of all time, a title synonymous with survival horror that changed the world of gaming forever through its innovation. While the original Resident Evil 4 eventually found its way to a variety of different platforms and was endlessly ported, initially, Capcom’s classic title launched as a Nintendo GameCube exclusive in 2005.

Thankfully, the Resident Evil 4 Remake is taking a slightly different approach at its launch, providing multiple platforms for gamers to experience the survival horror nostalgia. This guide will demonstrate the four platforms that Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available on when the game launches on July 23, 2025.

Will Resident Evil 4 Remake Launch on Nintendo Switch?

As of now, it does not appear that the Resident Evil 4 Remake will be on Nintendo Switch. It is a sad reality for Nintendo gamers, as the legendary title that initially started as a Nintendo exclusive back in 2005 will not even be released on a Nintendo console when the remake launches on July 25, 2025. However, all hope is not lost, as other Resident Evil remakes and newer titles of the survival horror series have been ported to the Switch at later dates with Resident Evil 2 arriving on Nintendo’s current flagship console on August 07, 2025, while the Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, will join on July 26, 2025, and July 23, 2025, respectively.
