Microsoft announces the end of Xbox Games with Gold, replacing it with Game Pass Core.
Xbox Game Pass Core Will Take the Place of Xbox Live Gold
It’s official, the end of Xbox Live Gold. Now being replaced by what Microsoft is calling Xbox Game Pass Core. Debuting on September 14th, the new Game Pass Core will be going live as an “evolution” of the previous offering.
It’s an end of an era, as Xbox Live has been going strong for 20-odd years. It was in 2017 when Microsoft introduced Xbox Game Pass. Offering a library of games for a monthly sub. This has since expanded not only for their Xbox own console but for PC players as well.

What Game Pass Core Offers
So far the collection of games contains a number of Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and other partner content. Games for Xbox Series and Xbox One. At launch Game Pass Core will offer the following games:
There is also promise of more titles to be announced before September 14th. New games are set to be introduced two to three times a year.

What Happens to Current Xbox Live Gold Members?
If you’re wondering what’s happening with your current subscription, come September 14th players will automatically become Game Pass Core members. There will be no changes to pricing and the new library will automatically be available. The same goes for discounts and deals.
Games with Gold will officially come to end on September 1st. Any games previously redeemed through Games with Gold will remain available for both Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate members. The same goes for any Xbox 360 titles, these will remain in your library.
